Ours is named "Tad" (as in tadpole) and this was one of the few Webkinz that everyone in the family wanted! As it turns out, this is a birthday month for one of us so they got lucky and got to adopt him.

The Bullfrog has a fun hopping motion when s/he moves around and the adoption presents were great, especially with it being the Pet of the Month! One of the presents was a balloon blowing machine which makes balloons float around in the room over and over...lots of fun.

The actual plush toy for the Webkinz Gorilla is really adorable...he has big hands and feet and a gentle but mysterious face, just like a real gorilla.

Of course the coolest thing is that this is one of the pets that has an underwater room. In the photo above you can see what happens when they wander into the "dry" part of the world: they get a little protective "bubble" which is fun to watch!

He's really adorable with big round feet that make him kind of floppy and there's a little tuft of fur at the end of his otherwise smooth tail. One of the adoption gifts was a vehicle specially made for the Rhino that even has the horns on the front. I guess none of the other pets are allowed to ride it (unless they ask nicely first lol).

If all you want is the money by selling gems, then the Buried Bones Mine gives the most value.

What I've been doing is seeing if the Gem of the Day is in a mine that I still need gems from. If it is, I go there. I know I'll either find a gem I need, or possibly get paid well for the daily Gem.

If the Gem of the Day is in a mine that I already have a complete set of Gems from, then I'll go to a different mine.

The adoption gift is a special bird-bath style bathtub which is right at home in his room.

We've also found that the Webkinz Jaybird is one of the pets that seems to enjoy gardening. Some pets (yes, I mean you, Blue Rhino!) seem unhappy while you tend a large garden but not the blue jay, thankfully. His smaller Lil'Kinz size also means he doesn't get in the way of clicking on some plants, too.

Any normal item that you'd put in an indoor room will be right at home in an underwater room, but obviously some of the nautical themed items look more natural there.

It's fun when a "dry" pet comes to visit your underwater pet: they get a little bubble around their head! It's very cute! As you might imagine, the reverse happens when your underwater pet ventures out to the rest of your Webkinz world, they wind up in a bubble to keep them wet.

It's very round and adorable, just like a real manatee. When it moves around in webkinz world it swims gracefully using its tail in a very realistic up-down motion. Ganz really did a good job of animating the movements with this one.

The new water pets are very unique, and I'm sure that they are going to be very popular. Both the Webkinz Manatee and the Webkinz Goldfish will be difficult to find for a while, I'm sure...everybody wants to try out the water rooms!
